Who DOESN’T love smoked salmon?? I know I do! recently, we got a pellet smoker, and making smoked salmon is one of our favorite things to do. My mom usually brines the salmon for awhile, and follows specific recipes I linked below! For these toast ideas, you can use cold smoked salmon, OR even store bought hot smoked salmon. You can also use any recipe of your own!
These toast recipes are SO simple, yummy, and easy to make! There are two toast ideas featured in this article: Asian inspired avocado toast, and cream cheese and dill toast.
Asian Inspired Avocado Toast
Easy recipe – actually all you need are a few slices of bread, the smoked salmon recipe of your choosing, avocado, gluten free soy sauce, and sesame seeds. Instead of sesame seeds, you can also use any topping you would like! I actually used Trader Joe’s furikake seasoning.
Making the Avocado and Salmon Toast:
The first step is to gather your ingredients and mash the avocado onto the bread to make the avocado toast base. I like to use a fork to put a fun pattern in the avocado, but obviously this step is optional.
After this, add the salmon on top and then top with a drizzle of soy sauce and a sprinkle of the furikake or sesame seeds of your choosing! I told you this was a simple recipe!!
The Cream Cheese and Dill Salmon Toast
This recipe is obviously inspired by the most classic bagel and cream cheese meal in the world, kind of the toast version of my gluten free everything bagel sandwich recipe, which you can find here! The ingredients are cream cheese, everything bagel seasoning, fresh dill, smoked salmon, and cucumber, but you are welcome to add more! I would recommend thinly sliced red onion, arugula, or anything you want!
To make the toast, add the cream cheese, then bagel seasoning, then cucumber and salmon. Finally, top with fresh dill for the perfect fresh herb flavor.
That’s the finished recipe! Enjoy and happy cooking!!
