My on-campus meal plan at Tulane University doesn’t have a lot of great gluten-free options, So my saviors this year have been quick and easy dorm room snacks/meals. I go to Whole Foods usually once a week, and here are some of my essentials!
RISE Cold Brew
I’m still SO addicted to caffeine, especially with my busy class schedule. RISE is my savior when I don’t have time to stop for coffee on the way to class. Over the summer, I got really into vanilla americanos, so I usually just add vanilla syrup I bought at the beginning of the semester to their original nitro cold brew. The convenience is unbeatable!

Hot-Smoked Salmon
I put this Whole Foods hot smoked salmon on rice cakes, or I just eat it plain. It’s a great reliable protein option to have before class. I’ve recently been into a rice cake with avocado, hot smoked salmon, and balsamic glaze.
MUSH Overnight Oats
MUSH is my go-to SUPER quick breakfast when I’m running low on time. Not only are there SO many flavors, but they’re all equally delicious, and certified gluten-free!!
Ollipop
For those of you that follow my Instagram, you know I’ve been trying to prioritize my gut health. I love the lemon ginger Ollipop probiotic sodas. They taste like ginger ale, but have tons of probiotics and are super good for you. I’ve been trying to drink more Ollipop and less soda. I love keeping a few of these in my fridge.
Made Good Start Crackers
These may be for children, but they are literally my favorite snacks ever. They’re full of vitamins and nutrients from veggies, but taste like goldfish. Believe it or not, these are the closest gluten-free goldfish substitute I’ve ever found. I love these as a study snack.
